Very easy to use. However, I didn't like breaking open the pendant lamp (the bulb wrapped in a plastic bag to collect broken glass) to insert the device into the base of the bulb to pull it out. when it hangs on the base. In addition, the flat shelter should be a round or square shell in case additional debris falls. Many Thanks.

Seems like a great idea. It looks like it should work. This might work for a loose bulb, but not for my problem. I'm still trying to replace a blown oven light bulb. It's pretty cramped and this device just isn't up to the task. The idea is great but not strong enough for hard work. The working end bends too much and the tip needs something with a lot of grip to grab the broken base. It's basically a toy, not a tool. Very disappointing!

I had a ceiling spotlight installed in the kitchen where the stem broke off when I was replacing the spotlights with LED bulbs. This was right in front of my stove. I ordered this item and it did the job I chose for it. When I inserted it, it only took a few minutes to remove the stem from the socket. It actually took me longer to get the ladder from the closet to the kitchen to get the light bulb out! Then of course I had to put the ladder back in the pantry!

This item is probably overpriced and doesn't have a place among my more durable hand tools. But I was dealing with a very difficult angle to access a blown lightbulb and if I didn't buy this tool I would have to spend many hours disassembling my fridge to get it, which is where I used needle nose pliers could use to bring the base to the light broken bulb. Worked great! Broken lightbulbs hung from street cords so the sockets fit snugly around the lightbulbs to protect them from moisture. The glass was very thin and broke all the way to the nest when attempting to remove them by hand. Grabbing the metal edge of the bushing with pliers, bending it and trying to twist it didn't work, it had to be pulled on both sides. I additionally had to break the glass inside the metal bulb socket as the game wasn't full enough for a good grip. I used needle nose

My makeup light broke and part of the filament was the bulk of the glass which was difficult to grip. Don't be afraid to break it in your hands. Glass also largely filled the base; So the capturing part that was supposed to capture could not. I was slowly able to get my flashlight out, but if I really screwed up the cover I probably would have had more problems. But this product completed three long overdue lamp repairs/replacements so quickly that I immediately ran to my computer after fixing my outlets that had been useless for literally months!
