I bought this hoping it would reduce the boot lag.

I bought this hoping it would reduce my LED strip's start up delay. It's not like this. The latency is still around 750 ms. Enough lag that it bothers me, but not enough that it's a problem. I was just picky.

Pros
  • sparkles
Cons
  • volume

It was the perfect replacement for my Vive Beacon's power cord.

This was the perfect replacement for the power cord to my Vive Beacon that my cat ate. Note that the cord is very short, but that didn't bother me since my outlet is under the ceiling anyway.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • weak

You get what you pay for

I am using this to power a 3 inch digital readout for a lathe. No high demands on the product. Electrically it works perfectly. The display is bright and the LEDs are powerful. For some reason the case fell apart in 2 halves, they didn't drop it, didn't hit it and didn't even touch it, it just came out of 2 pieces on a frosty day, glued it back together and drove on.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Modern

No more Fios battery beep.

Perfect for drowning out that stupid Verizon Fios battery beep. Discard the battery and cut the connector at the end and the wire where the battery connects to the Fios box. The battery still does nothing, no matter what Verizon says. Landfills also have less lead! Millions and millions of Fios batteries end up in landfills every year. After all, run in the water, land, and all of us just to make money for the cable television companies.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • No insurance

Works well; Longer cable required

This is a decent power source for use with LED power modules. I use a pair of these adapters with a pair of LEDENET® 2.4G 4-Zone LED Wireless RF RGBW Controllers (http://smile.amazon.com/LEDENET%C2%AE-4-Zone-Wireless-Controller- Dimmable/dp/ B00MGTVOVW). The adapter fits very snugly into the DC adapter port on the controllers. It was capable of driving an array of 150 warm white LEDs or 150 RGB color LEDs at full power with ease. However, not everything is so good. I've made a few LED floor…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
