I like her looks though.

I love Alegria shoes and when they came out I really liked the look and style. Unfortunately I ordered my usual size 9 (there was no European option) and they were very narrow and short in length. I wore them around the house for a while but they didn't loosen up like I was hoping. They came in a size 39 and in the past when I ordered 9 they were a size 40 (on some Alegria size charts it's 40). Unfortunately there was neither a 9.5 nor a 40. They look great, but order a size up.

Don't waste your money, it will fall apart in a month!

Disappointed with the quality of the shoes. I usually buy the Kelli style but chose this one as it had a button! Well, the button fell off after a month and a half with plain socks, and only on one boot did the skin fade to a bluish tint. I would send them back but unfortunately I'm just out of the returns window. Completely devastated. I'm not totally put off by the brand but my next shoe has to be my last or I'm done with it.

Alegria wins over Danskos

I'm in nursing school and during our 12 hour shifts I'll be wearing them with 20-30mmHg compression stockings. I have no leg/leg pain at the end of my shift. I compared them to the Dansko XP 2.0 and for me they win because you can buy a new insole when the old one wears out. I saw them at Revain for $30. The Dansko also has a narrower foot, while the Alegria tends to be slightly wider. I don't have wide feet, but wider shoes add to the comfort.

  • 100% Leather
Cons
  • Not bad

Sad to write that I have had a bad experience with this shoe.- 1 star: The foil construction comes off very easily. I noticed this a few days later and didn't know how it happened until it happened a second time that same week. As I stepped over the curb, my boot dragged and scraped slightly. - 1 Star: There is extra material on the tongue of my right boot and it was only after a few 12 hour shifts that my right foot started to hurt under the sole. pinkie finger. I've found that a piece of…

Certainly the best shoes!

I've been a nurse for 30 years and these are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I've ever had! 5 years ago I had major surgery on my left foot because the posterior tibial tendon was partially torn. The heel had to be surgically "broken" and repaired to be properly aligned, then the torn tendon had to be replaced with a non-essential tendon from another part of the foot. The recovery took months. I think this condition could have been avoided by wearing such shoes. I've worn Crocs and…

Unfortunately too big

Although I had to return them because they were too big, they were cute and well made. I have 2 pairs of Alegria sneakers and I love them. I originally ordered these loafers in my regular size, 9/39, in trainers, but they were snug, so I ordered up to a 10/40, which fit great. This time I ordered 40 after reading numerous reviews that "order one size up" was because I thought the brand might run small. Not so. The return went well and I ended up ordering a different style of Alegria slippers (I

Leg Hurts in Shaft

As the title of my review suggests, the shaft hurts! The design of the upper of the shoe puts uncomfortable pressure on the top of the foot. It was pressure, not friction, so there were no blisters. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't wear it and couldn't stand it for a full 12 hour shift, but why does a part of your clothing or shoes hurt or bother you from the start of your shift? If you have a job where robes and clogs are the standard uniform, chances are you also walk a lot. If something…
