Good slippers for traction in ice

Great for ice and snow. Not very suitable for wet or rocky conditions. Easy to store, put on and take off. You can carry them in your pocket or bag on the plane - good luck real cats! Make sure you don't wear them indoors or you'll scratch the floor. Removable cleats come out when you're climbing aggressively, but they come with a few extras. Suitable for leisurely hikes/walks in icy conditions.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Upgradable

These amazing things

I bought these for use on wet ice. I have a cabin and the ice is permanent after the first snow. They provide excellent traction and do not interfere with walking on regular surfaces. The compound staircase to the door was also left unmarked. I wouldn't use them for long dry pavement walks, but I wore them to get that and they were good for a short pavement walk. I used them for an hour or so at a time for several days. No problem and they are easy to turn on and off. I have shoe size 11.5 and…

NOT FOR CONTINUOUS USE

I've had them for a month now and they both broke. I bought 2 pairs so will have another pair until I get something more durable but I run 8 miles a day and they just aren't strong enough to withstand that kind of use. They are good for occasional use. They are very easy to put on and take off. Studs keep falling out; I don't know if it's because I run long distances or if they fail on shorter distances as well. I would recommend them to anyone who needs something for a short distance. I really

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • unreliable

I'm not happy with the quality, we'll see how long they last. If they get me through the worst of these snow and ice days then I'll be happy as this is Ohio and tomorrow the ice and snow will probably be gone lol. Feet, and yes they fit, but the rear cleats don't sit on the heel of my winter work boots (see pic). But they were cheap and Revane somehow got them to me in about 12 hours which amazes me every time they do lol.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Ideal for walking on ice

I bought this to replace another brand. My wife is a heavy user and she is much happier with them. The other brand had a tendency to slip off the toe of their boot, requiring frozen toes to be repaired. They stay pretty much in place and she says she's a lot more stable in ice, snow and mud. I was concerned by some of the reviews that talked about losing spikes quickly. She's been wearing them almost every day for about a month now and she hasn't lost a single thorn. She walks mostly on snow…

Bought 4 different pairs

Four of us ran twice on snowy trails in temperatures of 15F and 30F. traction is good. Compared to this type and to crampons with long spikes, this spike is enough to make walking on compacted snow very efficient. The effect works in all directions. My Merrel hiking boots can't keep up with that. There's just one design issue: they fall off easily. If you compare the pictures of different types, you can see that some clips cover most of the laces. Some high-end models even come with underwires…

Buy the best pair in Shoe Care & Accessories

Useful but I'd happily buy better ones. They stayed but moved on after a while; They had to be reconfigured every 15 minutes of the hike. Another thing is that the healing part of the handles is practically useless; since they do not lie on the healing, but on the bow. However, the heel pads definitely helped us avoid slippage. I bought them to keep in my backpack for treacherous trails and that's what I used them for. As a rule, our boots offer enough grip on their own. But the snow on our…
