Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can confidently say this product has simplified substance analysis. The accuracy is on par with traditional hydrometers and eliminates the need for multiple instruments. The compact size is perfect for on-the-go use, but the manual could be improved for beginner users.

I am a home winemaker and have had a similar one for many years. The old one broke when I accidentally dropped it. Bought this as a spare and found it well built, excellent visibility, very legible. Benefits: Inexpensive, in a molded case with a cleaning cloth, a disposable pipette and a small screwdriver. The scale is easy to read and captures light well. And its petite size fits well in my tool box. Cons: It's cheap, the eyecup permanently deforms from the molded case, the eyedropper is disposable, a small soft steel screwdriver with a blue, brittle handle that will strip anything you try to use it on.
