Ready to buy again.

20A solar charge controller works as expected. I also liked that the price was low. I found out what the codes mean: According to the instructions: b01 - sealed lead acid. b02 is a gel cell and b03 is a flooded or open type (an old car battery where you keep an eye on the liquid level in the cells). that if you have a similar controller, the codes will be transmitted. I would find something written by the manufacturer.

Works great for powering my beehive cooling units I've built.

This charger works great. I use it to charge a garden tractor battery and power cooling fans in beehives. I power 4 fans 24/7 with a 20w solar panel. The only thing I'd like to see is a sunrise-to-dusk mode so I can program the unit to turn off the load at night during spring and fall when nights get chilly here in Louisiana. I am currently using a 12vdc relay to achieve this function by connecting the relay to the load and the fan going to the battery using the 2 amp fuse on the fans.

It does the job.

So far it works as advertised. I wish I could afford an MPPT controller but this little box does the job. I live in my truck and have two Siemens SP75 panels running through this controller which charges three batteries in the back of my 94 Chevy S10/Tahoe. The plaques were gifted to me by a friend, for which I am sincerely grateful. Three batteries are car batteries, different CA and CCA, one is sealed, the other two are not. (Yes I know I should have a deep loop but you use what you can). I…

1/4 STARS, read before buying

Firstly, the controller is fine, it serves its purpose, secondly, I will never buy one again. Where the wires go, it's almost impossible to secure "ANY" size wires. I've been working on fixing the cable in the controller for 2 days and if it moves a little and comes straight out those screw connections are "HOOM" now I want to grab a sledgehammer and move. him and then throw a big rock at him before using the hammer again. I've been in the high tech industry for over 30 years actually building…

Wrong Voltage / Overcharge

I liked the price but. After installing the device, I found that the battery voltage displayed is wrong. I tested this with two different voltmeters. I asked a question on the provider's website and received an out of office message. Wrong voltage is bad when charging batteries. Second, I set the max charge voltage to 13.7V and now it charges at 14.2V. Not good, can be dangerous and cause a serious overcharge condition. The rest works fine. I will be back unless someone to the best of their…

Working but not blinding

Bought to control a 100w solar panel in a small van. To be honest, I looked at so many of them that they all started to merge and I settled on the one that is in the mid-range price range. A little electrical knowledge is helpful for installation, it is not proof of fake, and even after installation, it requires a little intuition to operate. So it works, but there is a voltage drop, it takes longer to build a charge. I measured the power and found I was losing a half volt through this…

Nice controller with a nice surprise! Good customer care.

PROS:* Affordable* Two USB ports* Screen* 12V & 24V* Supports multiple battery types* Highly customizable* D2D Dusk Till Dawn (an unexpected feature which I like a lot) CONS : * PWM pulse width modulation, not MPPT * Connectors are a bit small (it fits 10 gauge wire, but barely). This is a PWM controller, but for the money you save by buying this controller instead of an expensive MPPT controller, you can buy an additional 100W solar panel. For example, a Renology 20 amp MPPT controller costs…

READ BEFORE BUYING!

Due to the many bad reviews I hesitated before buying. It sounded like there was going to be a big headache and a lot of problems, so I took my time and researched everything. I've identified why the reviewers felt it was a bad buy, and I want to help you understand what they went wrong and why these issues aren't a concern for you. The first problem I want to solve is cable connectors. Many reviewers say the wires come out right away and can't stay inside. Let me tell you about the problem, if
