The best thing about this unit is the blade base, which is an inexpensive piece of rubber material. The press itself is terrible. Plan on spending too much time cleaning a terrible and poorly designed device. Peeler? amazing, should cost less than a dollar. Press? Catastrophe. don't buy that. spend money elsewhere.

I can't believe anyone rated this press so highly. I used it once and immediately ordered something else. It feels flimsy, the press cup is small and difficult to clean, and worst of all, the press cup floats between the two handles, meaning the press stays closed when you push the handles apart. You have to manually pull the floating piece out of the press bowl and get the garlic juice on your fingers. Worst Design! The garlic peeler, on the other hand, works great.
