Works well with steel

I bought this to prepare an A36 steel plate that I will use as baking steel. I used it on a 7 inch polisher (5/8-11 mandrel, variable speed, 1900 rpm max) and it worked well to smooth the edge (prepared with a sanding disc) and the after Remove any rust left after removing acetic acid deposits. , There was very little sparking during use. The scratches left appeared to be a little rougher than the advertised 180 grit. I would NOT use this with an angle grinder, too high RPM.

Pros
  • Abrasives and paints
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

I don't know about these things

I bought them on Youtube on recommendation from DeBoss Garage (I'm looking at you Rich). until her death. I first used them on a 4.5" Dewilt angle grinder, which was probably too fast, but they held up for a while before shedding any tentacles. duration, as with a smaller, faster coffee grinder. I gave them up when they were 20 US kopecks apiece.

Ideal for gently sanding curves and grooved textured wood.

I mostly use cup brushes made of crimped or knotted wire for aging wood or grinding rust. If you age the wood by aggressively sanding the grooves in the wood with a wire brush, you can't sandpaper afterwards to smooth out the burrs and chips. This is where a nylon cup brush comes in handy. Nylon grinds gently but not flat. It will grind it in the grooves without removing any more wood. All burrs are gone. In addition, you can also use this nylon brush to remove paint or finish on curved wood as
