Slightly disappointed

A little disappointed. Not with a product, but with Best Buy. I ordered an orange pair but received a blue pair. Also, my husband and I love these sneakers. They're comfortable and don't have a huge platform, which is perfect for leg days. Full recommendation but suggest making sure you get the color you actually order.

Pros
  • It has a minimalist style that easily pairs with a variety of running apparel.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people walking on wet surfaces.

Fits perfectly! to my rating.

Perfect fit for a person with wide feet! Normal sneakers rub my feet because the sides are usually too narrow. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • For walking and running.
Cons
  • Shoes must not be waterproof.

Surprisingly comfortable

I've had many age couples, this is my first couple. So far these are my favorite ages. Extremely comfortable and fit perfectly. Most Altras I've owned look a little silly with the toe box, but these look like regular tennis shoes and fit my very wide feet.

Pros
  • Elegant rooms
Cons
  • Shoes may be too light for some occasions

Beautiful and spacious! to my rating.

My bear paws take up a lot of space and this shoe accommodates it very well. Zero Drop is a nice addition too, love them from Altra!

Pros
  • Toe-shaped sock for maximum foot divergence and stability.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with back problems.

Do not hesitate: my rating

I bought them as a Christmas present because I have a pair and they look like slippers. On this pair, a rubber sock came off in just 2 months, while mine had a hole in the sock fabric in less than 6 months. That's a problem!

Pros
  • For my fancy ankle, the zero instep design is recommended. I have several pairs and they are decent.
Cons
  • The Altra running shoes don't have the wide toe box of running shoes. I had to go back to Timp and Lone Peak.

Tight toe and poorly finished

Very disappointed with the tight fit. The right size but no real finger separation like my Escalantes. Also, I've run 29 miles with it and there is already delamination of the rubber finger spring. For that amount, I expect to ride 300+ miles shoeless. I'm not expecting a 100 with it at this pace.

Pros
  • The shoes are very comfortable
Cons
  • I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and wore them to work in the office for 3 days, now the sole is separating in the heel.

Great shoes I think

Fits well, comfortable and good quality shoes. My son likes to wear them to runs, but they can also be worn to school. This is his third pair, they all hold up well and we only replace them when he has put too many miles on them.

Pros
  • Available in different sizes for different foot types.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with balance disorders.

Sneakers for everything!

For a man who weighs 285 pounds, these shoes make me feel like I'm walking on a cloud (which I think would be the most comfortable walk ever). Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Used for weekly walks.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with foot problems.

Very convenient!

This is my first pair of Altras and I just finished my first 5 mile walk in them. So far they are very comfortable! Lots of very soft pillows here. I have wide feet and these shoes fit much better than the "regular" shoes.

Pros
  • Suitable for runners with a neutral gait or moderate overpronation.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for cyclists.

The 1st Edition Rivera is more suitable for daily walking.

These are very attractive super light shoes. That's what I expected, except they are too tight. I didn't realize they were on their narrow track line. Regular or standard altras fit fine but I'm sending them back because they feel tight in the toe box. A tight sock is not what you buy Altras for. Love all my other Superior and Lone Peak shoes and their roomy socks.

Pros
  • Made from quality materials for durability and comfort.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

Breaks down within 6 weeks with light use

I'm by no means a hardcore runner, I run maybe 10-15 miles a week. The sole wears out quickly, almost to the foam rubber layer in some places. The plastic strips on the tongue and along the eyelets for the laces detach, so they only have to be removed completely. I'm sure the rest of the details will follow soon. They will very easily replace the worst running shoes I have ever bought and until recently I was always trying to spend $50 on them.

Pros
  • A little bit small. I recommend ordering 1/2 or 1 size larger.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for formal occasions.

Great shoes but... in my opinion

Like this shoe a lot. Fits well out of the box. I just wish they had better color choices. White on almost every shoe. And not just this model. Too much white on all Altra sneakers. It's too hard to keep clean and I prefer shoes that can take a little abuse without the need for constant cleaning to keep them looking good. I never understood the white color on shoes used for outdoor activities. Five stars if they had more "street" colors without the white. A great color choice for those who…

Pros
  • Comes with a lace-up closure for a secure and customized fit.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be appropriate for people who lift weights.

Comfortable, well-appointed legroom.

Height 13.6'4", 210 lbs, amateur runs about 12-15 miles per week. Happy with this shoe. Reminds me of a Brooks Pure Cadence of the early days Gen. Fairly low ride with ample padding for comfort and protection. The upper is made of stretchy mesh material, offers a snug, secure fit and feels more durable than other mesh shoes. The shoe lining is soft, elastic, comfortable on the foot. The toe box isn't as big as other Altras I've worn (Superior, Lone Peak) but perfect for me, wide enough without…
