GREAT but expensive!

I love these shoes. I'm a fan of ALTRA because of the width and the unique sock they built into their products. The support they have put into this model is truly outstanding. The running behavior is very soft. I still run in New Balance foam but these are fantastic everyday shoes. I hope they drop in price by the time I'm ready for the next pair!

Pros
  • I love these shoes. No complaints. Good cushion and support.
Cons
  • High price compared to other branded options on the market

Comfortable running shoes

The most important thing to know about these shoes is that they have no heel, which basically means that the heel of the shoe is not elevated. For me, this means that I tend to land in the middle of my foot, while I tend to hit my heels more when running. It is better? Depends on what you think is best as long as I like it. Only time will tell if I stick with it long term, I've been a friend of Sacony Omni in the past but a friend recommended them. The shoe has generous cushioning if that's…

Pros
  • Good quality shoes but wish there was a little more room in the box.
Cons
  • Limited grip on wet surfaces

Excellent shoe for running or walking

I can't speak to previous versions but I think these are fantastic shoes. I've worn ASICS Kayano shoes for many years for their soft sole and overpronation support. However, the 26's and 27's felt a bit tight in the arch and arch of the foot and didn't last as long as the previous models. I went to Fleet Feet and tried the 28s and they felt about the same. I tried these ALTRAs and found them incredible. The stock Fleet Feet only had bright orange, but Best Buy had white with a green border. The

Pros
  • Very comfortable, durable shoes. I really like her
Cons
  • Not suitable for running on rough or uneven terrain.

Back to Altra!

I'm a longtime runner and at 68 that means a lot of miles and a lot of wear and tear on an old body! I'm returning to the Altra paradigm because I've read and experienced first hand that the Altra's low drop construction helps reduce the discomfort in my aching knees!

Pros
  • I have worn Altra Paradigm for many years. It could be better but I like the wider insole.
Cons
  • No removable insoles

Great shoes! in my rating

I have peripheral neuropathy and when I walk I feel like there are eggs in my shoes. My podiatrist recommended these shoes to me. I've never paid anywhere near $200 (including exorbitant California sales tax) for "tennis" shoes, but I have to say they are very comfortable and soften the feel of the balls. I will most likely order a few more.

Pros
  • Scarpe al di sopra della media, drop zero, e pianta larga che permette alle dita dei piedi di lavorare in maniera optimale.
Cons
  • There is no specific men's or women's sizing, which can lead to confusion or uncertainty as to fit.
