Work in progress, the instructions should state that there is a loud click when the stand's screws are opened or the flange falls back into the groove and snaps open difficult to remove without screwing the stand back on. Another note, the bracket is not flush with the flange, there is a large gap between the flange and the bracket, tighten the bolts and make sure nothing shifts

I bought two of these adapters to attach 27" LED cinema screens to the Ergotron dual arm mount. The hardest part was removing the Apple stand from the monitors as a credit card needs to be inserted to open the screws. Build both monitors in less than an hour. Ergotron took more time as voltage adjustment is required to support the weight of the screens - they are heavy. Both thumbs up because now they allow me to get into position and break my neck.

Installation might be difficult. However, the guys at Humancentric did it in the same breath. They even included the necessary thin plastic card to unlock the monitor stand; very helpful. The only gripe is that the extra inch the mount adds to the back of the monitor (Thunderbolt display) adds leverage and increases the display's tendency to tilt. The wall mount I use is 33#. Monitor weighs 23.8# without stand. I'm very satisfied with this product!

This is an almost exact replica of the original Apple adapter. The hardware is mounted slightly differently, but works the same. I mounted it on the back of a 2013 Thunderbolt display and it looks great. If you find yourself with one of these beauties, I would recommend them as a second monitor. I have a 27" Thunderbolt/Cinema Display LED and a 27" iMac (the one with the black back cover) and those mounts worked great! With these VESA adapters to another monitor, I have found that the aluminum is VERY soft and not very durable for repeated use/replacements. Be VERY careful when screwing in the small screws that hold the small Hold the aluminum block to the monitor - they are VERY easy to rip off the soft aluminum, don't use a drill, use a hand tool, they are VERY VERY SOFT!

The mount works as advertised and appears to be very strong and durable. However, the instructions missed me on an obvious (maybe) but very important step. After removing the stand from the monitor/computer, the mounting bracket should be visible. The instructions don't indicate that this should be the case and for me the mount moved back into the monitor after I removed the stand.
