Works great except for router bits

Great concept. Works great, just the bearing is wrong. 1 side is misaligned causing the drill to cut into the laminate surface it is moving over, resulting in surface damage. The other 3 bearing edges were fine and cut the laminate well.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not as easy to use as you might expect

I scratched my part in a couple of places where I thought the router might tilt due to the square stock position. Once the bearing is pressed against the side of the part it works well but takes a lot of practice and getting used to.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Works well for solid aluminum laminate which is the trickiest part.

Used for .020" thick aluminum laminate, with no backing. Here's what has worked for me when cutting edges where the bearing surface will slide over the already installed laminate: FIRST: try to fit with a minimal overhang, like a maximum of 1/4". Uses a 3-blade porter cable chisel for the first cut, leaving the protective sheet on the face to allow the bearing to move over it expect hot chips to fly forward, stick to the protective sheet and make the router shake.cut first and make the mistake…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I'll add it later
