I plan large panels with a live edge and large lumber that is too wide for my planer. This attachment works great and is probably the most economical to use in the end. As other reviewers have pointed out, the two oblique blades protrude slightly beyond the two smaller vertical blades. Not sure why they designed it that way, but it results in only 2 out of 4 blades making contact with the surface. I've used this on a Bosch router in a router carriage and while the finished surface felt smooth, I attribute this mainly to the freshness of the blades. I use them to level large panels and often fill in gaps with epoxy. I burn a lot of bits this way. It's more cost effective to run those bits and swap out the blades. Changing the blades is pretty easy - you have to put them in a vise to remove them without cutting, but they snap to the side very well.
