I expected something else.

The acrylic block is smaller than I expected. It looks bigger in the ad. The rehearsals are not as realistic as they should be. This product is used with bee presentations for all ages, so it is stable when touched and dropped.

Pros
  • Material: Resin
Cons
  • Will write later

Well made and good for education or collecting.

This product was a gift for a friend of mine who collects canned entomology. The resin is clear and doesn't have the sticky texture I've experienced before. All specimens inside are well preserved, they have no lost limbs. I liked that the honey is "movable" inside and if you tilt it from side to side the honey will flow accordingly. Overall I would recommend this to any collector or teacher who wants to explain the life cycle process to students.

Pros
  • Can be a wonderful gift for friends and family, biology lovers.
Cons
  • Available in black only

The bees in the product are not honeybees (Apis melifera)

I am a certified master beekeeper and teach beekeeping. I love giving things as hands for people to look at. I use charts, plastic models etc. I thought this product would be a great addition as it allows students to see the bees up close. The product I received did not contain honey bees (Apis melifera). Instead, the insects looked more like wasps. Wings were not attached like a bee, there was no hair on the insects, there was no pollen sac on the worker bee. The drones didn't have the big…

Pros
  • Subject: Honeybee Life Cycle (includes: Manual)
Cons
  • Out of fashion
