🔌 HDMI to RCA Converter by Amazon Basics Review

This requires an AC adapter but is not included. I would rate this as an "average" product as I have yet to find an adapter.

Not what you need. I think I need the opposite with the components marked as input and the HDMI side marked as output. I'm trying to connect an old VHS/DVD player to a new Smart TV.

Super simple, great product. Very good price. I didn't mind putting in my own cables and power supplies. The picture quality seems to be the best that can be achieved by converting the signal to analogue TV.

Had to be returned, did not work. I wouldn't shake hands with an HDMI device, so it didn't work with any of my inputs. I bought another brand, everything works. I don't know if it was just a defective unit or if they are all like that.

MANY uses for this adapter! First I tried to make a homemade laptop out of an old portable DVD player and a Raspberry Pi. It worked on the first try! As mentioned in other reviews, you must connect all cables before turning on the adapter. After the first power on, it can only work with HDMI power or not. It worked with the Pi but not my PS4. Although maybe it was the cable. Good product!

Purchased to connect Roku to RCA video input. It worked, but the picture quality was very poor. It would have worked if nothing better was available, but I ended up not using it. The ant's text in the image was distorted and difficult to read, and the horizontal interference pattern repeated on the screen. I decided to go to Best Buy and try their version of the same type of adapter.

As others have noted this does not come with the required power adapter. The list should include this important information. I have an AC adapter that I can use, but that was the least of the issues. I tried this converter on two different TVs and got the same results. The frame of the video I wanted to show appeared and disappeared. When it was off the screen said it wasn't getting any input. no good for me

My 2005 Sansui is alive again! Great device, although it runs my Roku and Blu-ray players, picture quality and sound are great! (I love gaming on my HD as I watch sports and movies on my CRT and vice versa) Definitely recommend to anyone still holding on to a blast from the past.
