This cable works great and is great value for money. However, it stinks a lot. The stench is some kind of chlorine compound. It's really insulting. I had to stop using it and put it in an unfinished part of my basement hoping the smell would go away after a few weeks.

The price is great, it charges quickly, but the smell of chemicals is unbearable! I left it outside to air out for a week and it still stinks. The smell makes it almost unusable. I've used it less than a dozen times and one of the connections broke. Extremely bad quality. Do not buy!

I know it's cheap but Revain need to change supplier of this cable, it has a very strong chemical odour. As soon as you open the box, it hits you in the face and keeps smelling. I'm sending it back and paying a little more for a better cable.

I made the mistake of looking at the overall rating without reading all the negative reviews about the scent, but my goodness! I'll return them as soon as possible.

Please note that the plug is larger/thicker than the end plug of Apple's original USB-C charging cable. This may not matter in most situations, but I've found that the cable doesn't go through the hole in the keyboard case that holds the iPad Air 2. I think I can either blame the keyboard/case for being too small or this cable too big. I decided to take the last option.

I had to leave a review when I saw a bunch of people leaving bad reviews because it "smells". How should the cable smell? smells like string. rubber cord. At first it smelled like "new" cord, now nothing. I just couldn't believe seeing 1 star reviews for a great cable because people didn't like the smell - it's a cable and it works fantastic - so I had to give a review even though I don't usually do it.

I'm not comfortable with these cables. I've never had one of these stop working by accident, but I accidentally trip over the cable and it bends a bit, so I prefer to keep extra devices. I like these because they're shorter, so I usually just plug them in to charge and don't usually use them while they're plugged in so I can't trip over the cord. They work just like the one that came with my Macbook Air. It's about 3 feet, so they're good if you don't want a lot of extra cord. You need your own
