Not sure what the orange plastic filter element that comes with the cartridge is for? Haven't used it. Does anyone use it?

See tip. This is how the item came out of the packaging. It was probably disassembled and then sent back. It won't work for me and waste my time.

Fits perfectly on my American Standard sink and seems to work well. Unfortunately this didn't solve my problem (after all I think I'll have a water pressure problem later). But this product itself works very well.

These plastic cartridges don't last long. I changed the cartridge in my sink three times in 2012 and this faucet is hardly ever used. The old stainless steel ball design was better. Plastic becomes brittle and cracks over time.

I have a US standard flexible spout kitchen faucet that was leaking. I tried cleaning and reinstalling the old cartridge and gasket. However, I could not fix the leak. Replaced cartridge with this one and no leaks so far. There was an additional item that was included but I didn't know where it would be used.
