I have a tournament set but it's a bit bulky to take with me. This travel set is big enough to be carried around easily and small enough to be carried around.

Wonderful product. It's clearly made for travel and works in its own way. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the magnets seem a bit flimsy, but other than that it's the perfect travel companion and I can't wait to take it camping. this summer with the family!

Very good value for money! Good quality board and parts. It could be improved if the chips and dice came in a resealable bag (found a few that fit), but the tokens come in hard plastic cases. The black squares would contrast better with the black shapes if they were a different dark color, but that's a bit finicky. I haven't found a better set, but I'm very happy with it.

This is the perfect size for the average gamer. It folds nicely in half and stores all the pieces inside so you don't have to fiddle with packaging/crates etc making it perfect for camping. Magnets are ideal for preventing pieces from being moved by gusts of wind or when moving an active game to another location. I read other reviews before purchasing and I didn't have any of the cons mentioned in some of them. Let me know if you found this helpful. Good luck, my chess buddies!
