Had to remove the line that goes to the booster brake hose on the intake manifold but saved me over $100 buying it from the dealer.

One of the check valves has a notch on the side, although this is barely visible in the product photos. It was tilted up when installed, but the one I replaced with a 2003 Passat 1.8T was tilted down. My concern is that if I connect the hose to the fitting in the up position, it would take some stress from the weight of the hoses underneath and possibly break.
