Andersen Tribeca® Style Gliding Thumb Review

We bought this house in September and have had a problem with the sliding door lock ever since. We got our hands on a real pen! We could still lock the door, but it took a lot of effort. We tried to find the name of the manufacturer of the door and couldn't find a way I could get a replacement lock for it. Broke in less than 6 months. Pretty disappointed. Of course the original broke too, so what did I expect? Although it probably broke due to the receiver latch being broken, as well as additional pressure on the manual latch where both broke. But that just goes to show how crappy the whole thing is. This thumb latch fell apart while locking the door one night. As it was a 15 year old door we had trouble finding a replacement. We called local facilities listed on Andersen's website (also listed as privately owned and Home Depot).
