Description of Anderson Metals Fitting Forged Street

Street tee with three openings for connecting and branching three pipes with different ends. Female and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on two ends and female NPT threads on the branch for connecting three threaded pipes. Forged brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and durability. Operating temperatures range from -53 to 121 degrees C (-65 to 250 degrees F). Meets specifications ASTM B584 and ASME/ANSI B16 for quality assurance. These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

Not thought through. Very small

mech. I don't know why the ends are round instead of 6 points for tightening the fittings. You must have access to the body of the fitting to tighten it. Also, the body seemed to be an odd size. I couldn't find any mm or sae wrenches that fit properly. It was too small for a wrench. I had to resort to water pump pliers and ripped this thing trying to tighten it. I deformed the fitting with pliers trying to tighten it. Unsuitable for anything practical due to its small size and lack of 6-point…
