WATER FLOW CONTROLLER: this water saver is able to reduce the water flow or pressure, it can also shut off water completely. SMOOTH OPERATION: the lever to control the flow rate slides with little effort which is easily operated with soapy hands. STURDY CONSTRUCTION: solidly made of brass with ABS plastic lever for durability and longevity, not easy to get corroded. STANDARD FITTINGS: both the male and female threads are 1/2" IPS which is suitable for standardized handheld shower, wall mount shower head or bidet sprayer. USEFUL ALTERNATIVE: it's an attractive & functional alternative to the dripping shower head without replacing all the plumbing.

Our pressure drops have been fixed

We have too much water pressure in the house so we fitted a pressure reducer on the main line and adjusted it so that the pressure at the top was adequate. But the pressure in the shower in the basement was too high. The mixer that controlled the shower was one of those hotel room ones where it turned clockwise from cold to hot - there was no way to change the flow rate. And the shower was so powerful it sometimes burned. So I installed this control valve and now I can adjust the shower…

External thread is not standard. 1/2 " NPT

I bought two of these flow control valves 6 months ago. All fit perfectly with a standard Kohler shower head 1/2" NPT threads in two bathrooms. I repeated the order for two installs at a friend's. Both parts looked normal but once started the internal threads started. I measured the external thread and found it was 0.005" less is than the shower nipple; when viewed under a magnifying glass there were no obvious burrs on the threads. I sacrificed one by threading and screwing into a known nipple

Perfect. Start / stop, acceleration / deceleration of water flow. No dripping when off (closed position)

Excellent. Start/stop or accelerate/decelerate water flow. No dripping when switched off (closed) and no noticeable loss of water pressure when spraying. Significant water savings when lathering with soap. No more draining the cold/hot water mixture at the main faucet (very annoying and time consuming) and no more hot water interruptions during the shower because I let the water run from start to finish (race to see can I wash myself out of the water before that water cools down :)).
