Used to buy 5 pounds of Shelled Brazil Nuts. This is the one that can break the hardest grenades with little effort! Forget the "regular" nutcracker after using this one!

I like this one because it works great with both hard- and soft-shelled pecans. You can adjust the length to fit the nut and get a solid half. It also works well with different types of nuts.

My dad has nerve damage in his hands and can't grip a regular walnut cracker. I bought it for him and he loves it and it makes his life a lot easier. I have 2 complaints. 1) sometimes it can lead to chaos and 2) each type of nut needs to be adjusted but overall I'm very happy that my dad found this very easy to use

Very well thought out, 4 stars for the performance of the lever mechanism, the best thing is that one of the opposite jaws can be adjusted wide range of openings to allow the burglar with nuts of different sizes can work and at the same time you can crack, not squeeze. After about 80 operations, two whole halves are almost always obtained.

When I opened the box, I could smell Christmas at first. I thought I was reliving all of those holidays when my mom and I shelled pecans for pecan pie. but no, it was the smell of the forest! probably works well with regular store-bought walnuts, but I was hoping this unit might work with black walnuts. It is impossible. The metal lever on it bent right along the thread. The downside of the design, in my opinion, is also that the base is too narrow. If you push this thing down and tilt it more than 1 degree to the left or right, the suction cup will want to fall. I would recommend setting something more substantial before using it.

A few hundred pecans and it lasts. The trick to cracking pecans seems to be adjusting the set screw so the hole is slightly larger than the one you're cracking. Take your time and it will crack the pecan into usable halves. Each nut is different in size/quality so not 100% but a high success rate. 5 stars for my use and ease of setup. I like the design of the device, but with black walnuts it definitely cannot withstand the load. Basically if it can bend and break. I've modified to overcome the limitations, but as I change each part, the stress only ever takes the next weakest part. Started with the handle changed to a 4" 3/16" grease covered with an 18" long galvanized pipe. Also I installed on a much larger piece of plywood base.
