Better quality than base resins

I bought Anycubic Rapid Gray Resin for my new Photon Mono to see what the printer is capable of and while I certainly had to learn I had serious problems with failed prints. I didn't want to give up but I was running out of ideas so I decided to try a different resin so I grabbed a bottle of Apricot Craftsman resin and damn I'm glad I did. With the new resin bottle and FEP sheet, I've had nothing but success on over half a dozen prints with this resin. The bottle is already more than half used…

It took a while to get it to print.

It took a long time to get this set up correctly but once I got it done I'm very happy with the results on my Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k. The settings that seem to work best for me with a 0.03mm delay are 3 seconds exposure, 5mm life and 11 seconds lights out at 60mm stroke speed, although I think I'll crank them up to 50 for large prints mm will decrease. Bottom layer adhesion was good (6 layers, 35 seconds), the main problem I had was the top layers sticking and not falling off the supports. At…

My New Favorite Resin

This is the best miniature resin I have ever used. I can maximize my lifting speed on my Sonic Mini using only light supports and the models still print great. If you look at the attached picture you can see the fingers on the Medusa are very small but they came out perfectly and withstood two hits on the hard floor of my desk. I originally used Phrozen ABS-like resin for the miniatures. It's a tough, flexible material, but I've had trouble with it. High lifting speeds with light supports can…
