High quality ball head

I needed a second ball head to make setting up my DSLRs easier. My main ball head is the Arca Swiss Z ball head, which is a solid ball head. This Aoka ball head is much lighter and will serve me well for holding my heaviest rig. My main goal is to have a lighter travel ball head. It works well, holding the camera at any angle and in any position without sagging. I mounted them on a Gitzo tripod. Try it.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Modern

Really quality - camera and photo

- I bought a ball head for $17 and returned it, bad work - Then I bought a ball head for $35 and returned it - Then I did Bought this for $65 and found what I was looking for. BIG STEP IN QUALITY. It can withstand a weight of 8 pounds 3 ounces and is very smooth in all directions. Very short and identical shots are possible. I'm glad I bought it and highly recommend it. SAVANNAH WILL

Pros
  • Decent performance

Great price on tripods and monopods

I mounted this ball head on the Manfrotto tripod that came with the ball head. The special Manfrotto head that came with the tripod was disappointing at times. I started looking for a good ball head. Manfrotto had a few but not in my budget. While searching I found an AOKA head. It was exactly what I was looking for. Did some research on AOKA and other budget heads and settled on AOKA. This is a well built and engineered head that did not disappoint.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Base required

Very smooth action.

The ball head is one of the best I've tried. Adjustments are easy once you set the screw in the main Klondike for tension. Really smooth ride and ability to handle heavy equipment. I use this along with a carbon fiber tripod with my drawing/drawing case (about 25-30 pounds) and the platform is very stable, once tightened it doesn't move. It says the load capacity is up to 30kg and that seems to be true. I like this head compared to some others I've tried and would buy it again if I need it.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Functionality

Surprisingly good performance at this price!

To be honest, the ball head is much better than I expected. Given the price, I didn't think it was possible to make a solid ball head that wouldn't start slipping when loaded. However, my Nikon D500 with 18-300 zoom lens and battery pack is supported with absolutely no problems. I don't know if this will be a problem but I will not be using this head with my D850 and 200-500 at 1.4k. That's a little bit more than I would risk on the field, even if it held up at home. But if you have a smaller…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • A few minor things
