Works as described

This product is suitable for vehicles with automatic air conditioning. This design requires the original fan and resistor wiring to be attached to the new product. This is an improvement over the original OEM. I decided to pin the wires instead of splicing and soldering them together. Removing and reconfiguring the existing wiring for the new harness worked like a champ and looks professional.

Finally the right part!

H2 Hummer 2003 - Fan stayed on even with ignition off. fuse pulled out. Have meanwhile bought a replacement resistor of the same type as the OEM. Installed, same problem. Ordered a fan and replaced it, same problem. Air conditioning control unit ordered and replaced, same problem. I watched a DIY video and checked the AC voltage on the purple wire going to the failed resistors. The chain has been fine so far. Bought this upgraded (5) Wire Wound Resistor and the problem is finally solved. Save…

I highly recommend this product

Worked great. Don't worry about cables, it was very easy to connect and install tape in my 2004 Hummer H2. I highly recommend this product. switched off and the key removed from the ignition lock. While waiting for a replacement part, I simply unplugged the cord from the bottom of the existing unit when I turned off the stacker and plugged it back in when I needed to use the stacker. The power plug is accessible by removing the cover under the dashboard (under the glove box, the cover is held…

Fixes an "always on " fan issue on a 2007 Hummer H2

I have a 2007 Hummer H2 that was suffering from an "always on top speed" fan issue. (Even if you turn off the car and remove the keys, the fan keeps running at maximum speed.) This part fixes the problem. I did it myself and it was pretty easy. The only difficulty is that the screw holes for the replacement part do not line up perfectly with the original holes. To install a replacement part, you must use force and bend the plastic of the replacement part. With this replacement part installed…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • no instructions

Great that it came with a one piece wiring harness and it was easy to hook up however it was so quick When I did turned on the air, it didn't happen. very strong wind. Upon inspection, I found that the fan motor was rotating in the wrong direction. I had to swap two wires to the fan motor, they were in the connector from the back to the front. Simple solution for me, but many people wouldn't do it. You have to remove the cable holder from the plug and swap the cables, then it works great. Maybe

Works but not very durable.

Bought for my 2003 Hummer H2. These things are very easy to install and they work. You will lose the ability to use the OEM module as the connectors are different, so keep the removed pigtail just in case. I give it 4 stars only for its reliability; I've used my third of these in a few years because they only end up with ridiculous and pointless malfunctions, the most recent being the random fan speed fluctuation going up and down constantly. The one right before it worked fine for 4 months in…

Hummer H2 Fit and Function

The fan controller failed while driving to Palm Springs in 108 degrees Fahrenheit. The fan did not turn off after switching off the ignition and removing the key. I had to remove the fan relay to keep the battery from draining. I took the Hummer to my GM/Cadillac dealership in the area and they confirmed the relay was faulty BUT the part was obsolete and there was nothing they could do for me. I returned home, went online and found this replacement. I had to slightly alter (offset) the mounting
