Shift sockets fit perfectly. IDIMF The factory lever had rivets and needed to be ground down. I also had to loosen the muffler to gain access. tight compression

Bought to fix a wobbly, rattling shifter on a 2005 Cadillac STS. I would have to move the shifter forward to put it in park. I paid the mechanic for an hour's work and now everything is working fine.

No frills. This product does the job it is designed to do. Including 2 sockets. I only needed one so I have a spare for later if the current one ever wears out. This is unlikely given how well it has worked so far. It's been over a year since I installed it.

Fixed my problem with metal on metal noise when engaging a gear. The only thing I noticed is that the clip is a little loose and I've seen other reviews where it has fallen off during use leaving people stranded. I recommend welding part of the clip to keep it from falling off. I did this.

My CTS shift rod sounded loud and metallic. The rubber on the lever is completely gone. I didn't even have to pull the entire shift linkage out. Just drilled out the old one. Have this installed. Very easy. cost efficient. And again silence when the switch was pressed. I'm glad they give you two. There are two substitutes for cts but one was still good. I lost another I watched it to compare something and then poof. It's gone. I still haven't found it, I've been looking for two days.

Saved me a lot of money, used on a 2005 STS, shift rod (under car, from derailleur to gearbox) rattled a lot on acceleration and car had trouble starting at times. Park. You have to sand the old parts first, I used a dremel with a sander attachment under the car and I didn't have to remove the center console/switch. The new sockets are secured with a safety clip and were easy to insert. Now my shifter is tight and the rattle is gone and there is no problem getting in and out of parking spaces…

This is a well designed solution to a poorly designed factory part. Installation is easy after removing the factory part. I accomplished this with an angle grinder, removing the stripped portion of the pin and then punching out the factory pin with a punch. Assembly is very easy with the supplied parts and only requires pliers. I don't know why, but two socket/pin assemblies are included. My 2005 Cadillac STS only needs one. I see this kit being extended to some other models so some vehicles…
