We just install a new tank after upgrading to something bigger. I didn't want to wait 4-6 weeks for my tank to be up and running so I bought this little combo pack. I set up my tank a few days ago and have been monitoring the nitrates and seems to be doing well so far. I really appreciate that I was able to buy a small sample set of these two items and didn't have to invest in larger bottles. We don't use these additives very quickly in our 5.5 gallon tank.

My old tank wasn't working properly so I had to quickly repot my fish into a brand new tank. I was nervous about putting all my fish in a brand new tank that hadn't been cycled yet. I followed directions, added bottles, then added fish. After two months all my fish are fine. I prefer to cycle my tanks naturally, but in a pinch or emergency this seems to work. The price was great too. Big pet stores take tons of this stuff.

This aquarium starter kit was perfect. It was very easy to use. The instructions were easy to follow. I will use it every time I start or fill up my tanks so our fish are not stressed and we have a good start keeping everything nice and healthy in our tanks. Indispensable when transferring new fish or changing the water. This is my second purchase of these lightweight starter bottles but I think I'll have to buy bigger bottles as I've added two extra reservoirs. I religiously use both when doing water changes to remove the chlorine. I currently have 2 20 gallon tanks - one for 2 aquatic turtles and the other for breeding guppies and growing aquatic plants for food for the turtles. I also have a 5 gallon glo tank.
