Decent mic for versatile use

I needed a mic that could handle the wide dynamic range of a grand piano without having to make a lot of adjustments. Pros: I really liked this mic. It can handle loud, heavy chords and soft, delicate colors. And it sounds very close to the natural sound of the piano. Cons: You can't see microphone settings like gain level. If Apogee made more controls available or visible in its app, this would be a decent mic for the home studio. Sounds better than the built-in microphones on iPads or cell…

Rode NT was better!

I had a small recording studio about 15 years ago and have been recording my own projects ever since. I quickly realized that USB signals can't travel very far. Also with the Yeti, as you reach the ceiling, you'll hear your voice shrink at…

Great mic for portable recording and other uses

A few other actors I know have recommended this mic including some instructors at Kalmenson so I bought it a few months ago to help a small, but great mic to have on the go use. I use it with my iPhone 5S and my MacBook. Happy! This is a great little mic. I have a "Deep Movie Trailer" voice and this mic is great for it, comparable to my AKGs or Schoeps. Today I used it for the video audition on camera of an Ecocast filmed on iPhone. The mic was bolted to the tripod with the iPhone and I was 3-6
