Bad Seal in New Thetford RV Toilet

I'm living in a caravan right now so I figured a new toilet would solve two problems; Broken bottom valve and bad bowl gasket on my old toilet. It installs easily but does not begin to hold water in the bowl which is necessary for gas protection. Now I have to spend more money and travel in a snow storm to find parts when I can in Alaska. I wish I had bought more money locally because now all my savings have gone to fix a new toilet.

Don't rely on reviews.

So based on the reviews I bought the toilet just without the parts that Revane offered for purchase. The toilet comes with a flange gasket but NOT the flange itself. I can't see the toilet because I can't install it until I have the flange. I received the toilet last week, it came quickly. And now I'm sitting waiting in the flange, which won't be here until the end of next week. So almost a two week break that I can't fix. This does not speak against the seller, but against reviews stating that

Such an improvement.

This is such an improvement over my old toilet. I needed a high profile and I needed legroom around the base so I could have legroom on the rinse pedal - imagine. The slim profile at the base solved the legroom problem. And the high profile means you won't have to drop 3 feet when seated, but you'll have a hard time getting up. It is very important. We are all getting older and things are getting harder and harder. It solved so many problems for me that I am very happy. I felt it wobbled a bit…

Really food for thought

I needed a new toilet in my Airstream trailer because the valve stopped holding water which worries me as it's the second and so "stupid" "Thing is getting worse.
