Very good quality and mesh bag included. I would definitely buy again and would also recommend the seller to family and friends who are interested in the aquarium hobby.

Good product! - Fish and aquatic animals

This granular activated carbon is great for clarifying water. I use them in my aquarium and also for brewing. A minimum of dust that is very easy to wash off. The pellets come in a zippered mesh bag, which is very convenient.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Good but not great

Pond Cleaning - Fish & Aquatic Animals

Eliminated the tea blooms in my garden pond in about 3 days. We put the bath in the skimmer next to the pump and ran it day and night for 3 days and saw such a difference. Now the water is really clear and the stones at the bottom are visible.

Very dusty and slowly cleans the water.

After using the whole bag in my 125 gallon tank for a full day after thorough rinsing in my 30 gallon pan, my water is still slightly cloudy. I was expecting the water to be crystal clear by this point. Using a pressure hose, it took about 10 minutes to wash out all the fine coal dust that would initially turn the water black.

WASH THE COAL!

Product arrived as advertised but we rinsed the mesh bag about 8 times in a 5 gallon bucket and the water was still dark. We chose to place it when the water doesn't get darker. It was reactive for about 5 flushes. The package was in my pond for 48 hours and I didn't notice much of a difference in the tea stained water. I WILL wait for the results. Would give more stars if it worked for a week or more.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Smoking room - fish and aquatic animals

Someone came to my mother's house to sit with all her dogs for two weeks. Turns out they fumigated their guest room! I bought this charcoal to get rid of the smell and it said it works! She didn't have to repaint the walls. She placed it in a pan on the bed and turned the fan on low to circulate air around the room, hoping to find a way to the coals. I myself have used this method for fragrances and have always had good luck with it, so I chose it for my mother.

Nasty fridge fixed overnight

I recently moved to a place with a great but sadly abandoned fridge. Too many things were rotting in there, and the smell was strong enough to spoil any food stored in it, even in the freezer. I removed all the rot and wiped everything with baking soda but that didn't help. Leaving large bowls of baking soda in it didn't work. I finally broke down and cleaned it, left it open for four days and wiped it down every night and that mostly helped. But it STILL smelled faintly and stuck to water and…

Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine
