I have it in my 20 meter tank connected to a 12 inch bubble wand. Wow it works, I am very thankful that I can regulate the flow because the wide opening is too big for my liking. Although I'm adding a gravel filter system and plan on using a splitter to run both. It's very quiet, but the longer it runs, the more I hear it. But that could just be me, right?

EDIT: Great customer service! Someone contacted me and sent me a new air pump. Will try to update after use! I've had it since August. It worked great for a few months, but out of nowhere it started making motorized noises as if it was having problems. I tried using a new tube and adjusting it but it became quite uncomfortable to hear as there isn't a constant background noise.

The motor of this pump is actually very quiet, but. The bubbles bursting on the water surface were REALLY loud with the included little air stone. I bought a 6 inch pneumatic rock pole and buried it under gravel in a 10 gallon tank and now it's really nice. I think the pump was too powerful for the little rock. It would probably be just as good or even better with a 12 inch airstone bar.

Liked: streamlined size and shape so it hides well behind a lightweight canopy. Dislikes: The loudest of the various components in my aquarium. Four little rubber feet vibrate like crazy no matter the surface. However, I managed to cushion it a bit by placing a styrofoam wedge BETWEEN the four legs, NOT UNDER them so they don't touch the ground. The foam is thick enough to prevent this. I hope that makes sense. Try it before you return.

I've had aquariums my whole life and I assure you you won't find a better air pump at this price point anywhere. It's very quiet, but the airflow is incredibly powerful. It comes with 2 high quality air stones and if you were to buy air stones of this size you would be paying more than what you are paying for this pump. It comes with a hose, 2 air stones, 2 check valves, 2 control valves and 2 suction cups. SUPER HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE!

I bought this pump for my small 5 gallon aquarium. In the end I returned it, at first the pump is ok, but all these nozzles are very cheap, the noise is ok. I thought it was too strong for my 5 gallons. After doing more research, I settled on a mini hugger pump that hangs on the edge of the tank (this makes things a lot neater) or attached to the side. Thats much better. It doesn't bother and is still strong enough. There is nothing wrong with this pump, I just wasn't thrilled.

I like that everything fits together and I don't have to think about which parts to buy. It works great, you don't hear the pump at all, you only hear slight bubbles from the stones which I like compared to the sound of the water filter in my tank. My turtle loves swimming in the bubbles and behind one of the castles it makes a nice effect. Definitely recommend this product. I've only had it recently so I can't say how long it will last as I work with it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This air pump is very quiet. I saw other reviews that it was noisy. Not here. However, when the air pump hits something, it vibrates and makes noise. Ours sits on the hood, you can't hear it at all. It's quite powerful for its small size, resulting in loud bubbles in the tank. I'm still working on adjusting a few things to calm this down. We've only had it a few days so I'll post more in the future if this goes down too soon. Note: There is no way to adjust the airflow on this pump.

I bought this little pump for a new sponge filter for my 2.5 gallon Betta aquarium and it's PERFECT. Enough power to run both this filter and a large air stone. Not so much that my betta was swept away by the current.
