If you have this in your bedroom I do not recommend downloading it. If you have it outside in a room where loud noises don't bother you, it's good for your fish tank or turtle tank. Please clarify this notice. I returned mine because I couldn't sleep in my bedroom.

I had a filter that stopped working so I ordered this one. When it first turned one...the force of the water flow made the tank look very gross...but after just a few hours my tank was super CLEAN! I have a 40 liter tank and literally had to change the filter. After 3 days without a working filter you can only imagine how nasty my tank has gotten...I'm surprised my fish survived! lol but this filter did it!

The engine was switched off and was running very loudly. The instructions should tell everyone to check it out, but I didn't see it anywhere in the instructions. If yours is noisy, this is definitely the reason. I can't imagine the motor ever making it to delivery and staying connected. Must be splined or threaded. And eventually falls apart again. The tiny amount of carbon in the cartridge is absurd.

I bought this filter years ago because it was in my price range. It's inside the tank, so over the years I've tried other filters that are installed on the outside of the tanks. They always end up breaking or burning out and I'm so glad I've always had that fallback. Now this is my everyday filter because I really can't find anything that works that well. Bought this filter to help my other filter clean my 55 gallon tank. This dinner is very similar in that it can be immersed in water. At first there were bottom suction cups and a hanger at the top, but the top of the aquarium would not close. So put on the suction cups (included) and close the lid of the aquarium. This filter is just great in my 25 gallon aquarium. I have toddlers who are constantly trying to play with the tank and I had to replace my last filter because that little one got on the old filter that was outside the tank.
