Description of ARB ARB705 2 3 Recovery Strap

Min. breaking strength: 8,000 kilograms / 17,600 lb Specifically designed to stretch under load for maximum performance, an ARB snatch strap is a very effective method of extracting a bogged or immobilized 4wd when a second vehicle is present. Length: 9m / 30 feet. Width: 60mm 2 1/8" feet. Material: 100 percent nylon, Elasticity: Stretch (genuine) 20 percent. The kinetic energy generated by the elasticity aids with the recovery itself, while at the same time reducing the likelihood of vehicle damage. Reinforced Eyes. For vehicle recovery, a snatch strap is more suitable than a tow strap. All ARB snatch straps are woven and fabricated to ARB specifications, and tested by a NATA approved laboratory. Recovery kits - When you have to perform a vehicle recovery, it's important to have all your equipment easily accessible. ARB's recovery kits incorporate all the necessary gear into a handy storage bag, and we can also make up a custom kit to suit your specific requirements.

so far so good works well with tow straps

Wanted to wait to write a review until I had a chance to use it. I've used it twice. I have a 4runner and have pulled a Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2020 Jeep Wrangler out of the deep sand on the beach. Both of them didn't think I could do it and they were wrong. Try pulling on both of them first. Much better than the tow rope I used.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great insurance for off-road or winter

I'm happy to keep them in my truck in case they are needed for off-road or winter recoveries. I haven't needed them yet, but it's nice to know I have them if I need them. ARB is one of the best. I've spoken to other guys in our 4 wheel group and they all recommended this harness and a lot of us use it.

Pros
  • Very impressive

Very high quality: external accessories

I held my breath and paid a little more for it. and I'm really impressed with it. The fabric and stitching are of a very high quality and there are little extras like anti-fade protection at the ends and extra fabric to protect the loops. It looks like a premium professional quality tool. Haven't used it yet but its build quality gives it a lot of confidence. I'm glad I paid a little more.

Great recovery harness

As the name suggests this is a really great recovery harness. It has a small latch that allows you to pull it off in one go. In terms of strength, I've used this rope to easily pull everything from Jeep Wranglers to a friend's Ram 3500 that was buried in the mud over a pumpkin. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good rescue harness. With proper care (washing after use in the mud, etc.), this item will give you years of enjoyment.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than the others

I've used this for several restores, one of which was very difficult. We used a regular nylon strap from my jeep to the tracker which pulled me then this strap went back to the truck which we pulled out. Pathfinder lifted my Jeep to accelerate, and as the seatbelt tightened, I dropped the clutch and set it on the ground. It took 4 or 5 pulls and this strap was tested pretty hard but it helped a lot by allowing us to build momentum to pull.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Large and bulky

After using a quality belt like this, ARB

Don't worry about those cheap belts pawned as resuscitation belts. Once you use a quality recovery harness like this ARB, others will start to seem unreliable. I have used ARB and Viking rescue parachutes for many years and there is a difference with 'other' harnesses. This belt is softer on the tow truck as there is no sharp impact when trying to pull a wheeler man out of the mud. In addition, the stored kinetic energy when stretching helps to get the stuck car out again. I cannot praise the…

I would recommend it to anyone who travels or lives off-road.

I bought the strap about 1 month ago. Since then I've used it twice to recover vehicles from snowdrifts and driveways near Buffalo, New York. My truck is a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 pickup that weighs 3200 pounds and has a standard cab. I used to use a cheap nameless tow strap that worked with mixed success until it broke. This strap allows a light truck like mine to lift heavier vehicles with ease. I would recommend it to anyone traveling off-road or living in a snowy environment. Also make sure…
