Arctic Circle Alaskan Ulu Knife Review

I LOVE THIS KNIFE. I HAVE ARTHRITIS AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO USE SIMPLE KNIVES. IT'S EASIER FOR ME TO USE AND DOES A GREAT WORK WITHOUT A LOT OF PRESSURE.

This is a great carving knife. I use it for a variety of cutting jobs. Be careful though, chopping off your fingers is just as effective as chopping your favorite veggies!

I like this knife. I use it for everything. It's very sharp and cuts through everything. I am considering parting with my large knife block as I have not used one since purchasing this knife.

I bought this knife on the advice of Chef AJ. It's great for slicing salads, but I've found dozens of other uses for it in cooking. It fits my hand perfectly and is very sharp. It is excellent for slicing onions.

The Alaskan Ulu Knife works well from the start and is an easy tool for anyone. It's also safe as the top of the blade acts as a handle and the rocking motion allows you to cut something. We got it as a gift and love it. We also gifted it and received the same grateful response.

Very nice ulu knife. This is not an authentic hand forged ulu, but it is much cheaper. It cuts and slices most meats, vegetables and fruits very easily, but not frozen foods or bones. If you just want to show it off it looks great and you can always trim a bit if needed.

Like! I watch Living Below Zero all the time and I googled what Agnes Hailstone used for the "thing" when she was butchering moose and other meat. That's it. I immediately ordered one and have been using it ever since. I didn't go for the more expensive one because I don't slaughter moose after all. But this one is perfect for what I do. Very glad I bought it.

It seems not a day goes by without this knife. I have no idea how it was used by the Inuit considering it was always handy for cooking seals and other sea creatures, but I use it every day. Better than a food processor for me. I use it for slicing vegetables, chopping herbs, slicing pizza and more. I love that it swings in a round bowl (also called a rocking knife) as it works, which makes my job so easy and much safer. This is also the perfect gift.

Based on the feedback from other readers, I decided to buy this knife. I'm glad I did. In the meantime, I've ordered another Ulu knife directly from the Ulu factory in Anchorage. This gave me the opportunity to compare different versions of this knife. After experimenting, I decided that this knife is better than the two. I like the way the handle of this knife is designed.
