good for money

Wonder Double Flare Tool. I've used this to make a few connections when replacing a brake line on an Expedition 03. It won't get into the tightest of spots like the Eastwood 3/16 tool. However, if you are making double bells, this is a good and expensive tool. It's a pity that more and more cars are switching to fittings, so that applies to splices and oldtimers. Still readily available at hardware stores.

  • New

good value quality product works well

The 3/16 pipe is the hardest to flare. This tool works well provided the tube is perfectly straight where it goes through the die. The pipe end must be cut square and the inside of the pipe must be free of burrs. If the tube is bent or not cut square, the die will push it out of the way when it is squeezed. this also applies to more expensive instruments of this type. There are other tools that are constructed differently and are more forgiving, but they are quite expensive.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Mandatory when replacing steel brake lines.

I don't like it at all! everything to please. This tool is essential to replacing the steel brake lines on my project car. The user manual that was emailed to me gave me an idea of how to use something I didn't know until now. This tool worked better than expected. I used to have flaring tools but never with inserts. If you're doing something that requires a dual torch, this tool represents excellent value for money. I hope this torching tool will serve me for many years to come.

Pros
  • Makes me happy
Cons
  • Very expensive

Double flared parts are very weak!

Received mine today, after unboxing and trying out my first torch, I unpacked one of the 3/16 dual torch adapters and threw it on the floor, the guide pin broke immediately. Luckily there was a second one, but after my test line (2 flare jobs) the guide pin broke too. Also be very careful when tightening everything on a flat surface. Quality control isn't the best and mine requires extra work to make it flush and thus create a proper seal. I recommend spending money on a more expensive kit.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Compatibility

Don't buy this. You get what you pay for!

If you've ever used one of these flaring tools, you know it's a nightmare. This set is no exception. Honestly, this tool can work well with softer metals like copper. I tried using it with 3/16" stainless steel brake lines and it crashed. The clamp is made of mild steel and the threads tightening the tube flip instantly, rendering it useless. I couldn't flare the tube because it was just squeezed out of the handle.I even clamped the suction cup tight in a vise and it still slips out.I returned…

Pros
  • Great for me

Directions are not included.

Used for 3/16 brake line on 1996 s10. Works well if you are looking for Double Flaring Tool guides online. Not the most accurate tool, but it does an excellent job of keeping it centered and deburring the cutting line. The depth is measured with the supplied round matrices. With the correct size die resting on the clamp, adjust the line level. Set the line to the level of the first step of the cube (the largest side). Place the cord in the clip with the notched (notched) side of the clip facing

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Some problems

The tool is ok - the matrices leave a lot to be desired

There are good and bad things to say about this tool. The wing nuts have washers that hold everything together. But the washers are thin, so they bend easily. For longevity, consider upgrading to a Class 8 washing machine. The rest of the "hard" parts are strong and built for a nuclear winter. But. The matrices are made of a very weak metal. You get the two most common sizes of brake hose, but the flimsy shaft will break if your hose isn't perfect. And it seems to break at the most inopportune…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • something different
