Description of πŸ”Œ Arlington DVFR1W-1: Convenient Single Gang Recessed Electrical Outlet Mounting Box

Recessed box allows items, such as furniture, to be placed closer to the wall. Plugs don't extend past the wall like a regular box. Trim plate is textured / paintable. For power or low voltage applications. Positioning tabs for 1/2 Inch wall thickness assure accurate placement on studs.

Ideal for replacing or installing a new outlet behind furniture.

It worked as I hoped. Everything pictured is included, including two different wall plates and all the expected screws. I love that you can easily build it into an existing wall. Not just for new builds. Works great behind the fridge, TV or any other piece of furniture so you can place it closer to the wall. It's definitely better if you can mount it next to the stand, but it also presses against the drywall from above and below. I'm not sure about the rules for attaching it to the hairpin.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some bugs

Loki is great. electrical

When we moved into our old house we had a wall outlet where someone cut a hole in the wall that was too big for a standard outlet and they cut a hole next to the stud so the The outlet that was there was simply weakened and could not be used. It's been like this for 15 years because we never knew how to fix it, but then I stumbled across it on Amazon. I bought it hoping it would work and it worked. I had to make the hole a little bigger, but then we installed it and it's great. After 15 years I

Works well with Vidabox wall mount for iPad

I recently installed an iPad on a wall for a home automation network. I was using a Vidabox frame mount and needed an outlet behind the frame. This recessed junction box worked great and I was able to use an outlet with an integrated USB Plus within that group, eliminating the need to use an iPad charging box. Since this buildable box has a plastic collar (required to keep tension on the drywall) I was concerned that the iPad cable would not have enough room to reach the iPad so I made a small…

Great product well built but very large

I really liked this product and bought it so I could connect my tablet to the one in my shop. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's huge. If you are not confused by the size then this thing is perfect. It comes with everything you see in the picture plus the hole for the electricity to go through in the wall, there is already a smasher so you don't even have to knock anything out. Note, however, that these connector caps are a standard size so you can get any color or shape you…

Works well and without any problems. However, note that it is quite large.

This is very cool. I discarded the electrical and GFCI plates that came with the kit and installed the keystone plate (for ethernet). I have two ethernet cables coming out from behind my wall mounted TV and there just isn't room. This works great and is very easy. The only thing I don't like is the size. I had to widen the hole significantly to make it fit. I wish they had made real surrounds that go into the wall just a bit and don't take up as much space. Aside from the cutout in the wall…
