It worked as I hoped. Everything pictured is included, including two different wall plates and all the expected screws. I love that you can easily build it into an existing wall. Not just for new builds. Works great behind the fridge, TV or any other piece of furniture so you can place it closer to the wall. It's definitely better if you can mount it next to the stand, but it also presses against the drywall from above and below. I'm not sure about the rules for attaching it to the hairpin.

I really liked this product and bought it so I could connect my tablet to the one in my shop. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's huge. If you are not confused by the size then this thing is perfect. This is very cool. I discarded the electrical and GFCI plates that came with the kit and installed the keystone plate (for ethernet). I have two ethernet cables coming out from behind my wall mounted TV and there just isn't room. This works great and is very easy. The only thing I don't like is the size.
