I liked the value of this set. Colors are too complex to use. They don't give off much color, they're not very light or opaque. They are very transparent and you feel like you have to use a lot of water to get them to work. But the brushes are good.

My son needed watercolors for an online art class. This watercolor set was perfect. He painted up to 2 scenes without running out of a single color (which I worried about because of the small color circles). The water brush takes some getting used to, but it's great.

Colors look bright and beautifully applied. But sending a hard plastic container in a flimsy mail bag without any padding is just a nuisance. Hopefully the replacement colors I requested will come with a protective seal and no damage. I really want to get them to keep working on my project.

It turned out to be cracked and some of the paint itself is broken and floating in the case, one of the paint is completely missing. DO NOT RECOMMEND WOUND! I suggest going to your local art supply store, it's cheaper and better quality. Otherwise the brushes are good and perfect for watercolors. Very disappointed because I bought it as a gift for someone.

I didn't like this color as much as other beginner colors I've used before. It was chalky, soaked up water and dried too quickly before I had time to mix the colors. I also had some trouble mixing colors on paper. It seemed that the second color just lay on top of the first leaving a stain around the edges and didn't mix with it. I decided to buy paints and brushes from Amazon because the same set would cost me twice as much at Walmart as it does here. It's not that I want to be cheap.
