5.3 connecting rod bolt. for engines and engine parts

I like the ARP bolts for torque swapping with factory GM bolts. I didn't like that the size was different from the factory size and I had to buy another special socket. That being said I would definitely buy it again but I don't have to as it lasts forever because it can be reused.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So So

Screw not best bolt in spare parts

The description says it's a student kit so I more or less bought it but it's not. This is a bolt. Although I wanted a bolt instead of a screw, this is ARP. You can't go wrong. I would give any other brand less stars because it is not as described but oh well. It's ARP so I know the value and quality is way beyond great!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Pretty ok

Better Than Anything

Replaced the Harmonic Balancer on my 2000 Corvette because the stock grease was leaking. The original GM screw is a torque screw that can only be used once. This ARP bolt is different and can be reused. Literally just lube the bolt and face, then torque to 235 ft/lb. A NOTICE. A 1 1/16" hex head is required to install this screw. If it's not 12 sided, it won't fit at all!

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Performance
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Quality part in Main Bolt and Stud

Nothing but the best, just what you would expect from ARP, price was a bit high for 1 bolt but you get what you pay for and it's reusable in the Unlike the factory damper screw. Used during a cam change on my stock LS3. 250 ft lbs, find a friend and grab a flywheel tool or make sure you have a good method of holding the flywheel. Scrapping and even holding while twisting was pretty tricky :)

Pros
  • Engine Parts
Cons
  • Hard to say

The simplest: Engine parts

ARP is high quality bolts, nuts and other high strength oriental top quality bolts. Her history in the US is unparalleled. The 12 point head fits perfectly. I will never use cheap parts for things like crankcase bolts. I chased the threads to make installation easier. I used a balance beam torque wrench to tighten this bolt on a 2000 Silverado 2500 4WD. The truck drives well. I replaced the oil pump, hoses, water pump, front crankshaft oil seal, oil pressure strainer, oil pan gasket, oil pump…

Pros
  • Main bolts and studs
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

WORKS GREAT for my 2005 Chevy Avalanche Z71 4x4 LTZ Flex Fuel Truck

This bolt kit is perfect for my 2005 Chevy Avalanche Z71 4x4 LTZ Flex Fuel Truck. I filmed everything to change the oil pump on my truck because it was ticking under the hood and everyone was telling me it was jack rattle. I wanted to try this first and also update the trunnion and push rod to see if that fixed the issue. Keep in mind that I decided not to change the tappet and camshaft after checking the metal shavings in the oil pan and after removing the oil pan and the plate in the oil pan…

Pros
  • Engines and Engine Parts
Cons
  • Big and Bulky
