EXCELLENT PAPER suitable for watercolor paper

I HAVE BEEN MAKING WATERCOLORS FOR 20 YEARS AND HAVE BUYED LOTS OF PAPER. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE PAPER BECAUSE THERE IS NO SESE PICTURE ON THE CHEAP PAPER. SO I ORDERED THIS AS A TRAINING PILLOW. THIS IS MY ONLY PAPER NOW. THIS IS A LARGE WATERCOLOR PAPER. SMOOTH AND ROUGH SIDES WORK EQUALLY WELL. Holds water but doesn't bend or stretch. PRICE? WELL, SAY I LAUGH ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. WHILE YOU MAKE THIS PAPER, I WILL USE THIS PAPER. LOVE IT.

Beautiful drawing paper but don't dope for watercolor pencils

Every time I draw a line with a watercolor pencil on this beautiful paper, even if I immediately use a water brush and wet it with water, it doesn't spread, it doesn't spread. acted like a marker and just soaked into the paper. I had to saturate a water brush with watercolor paint to get blur. I thought it must be the Arteza watercolor pencils I just bought but today I tried them on a different notebook and they work great. I realized that this paper is for drawing, not watercolor pencils.

Wonderful paper for watercolor and mixed media!

This paper is good because it has two sides with different surface structures. The textured side holds watercolors well but is not as strong as other cold press papers. It's smooth enough to add pen and ink with no bumps. Slightly deformed when using a lot of water, but not critical. The smooth side is very smooth and the pens glide across easily, but it still holds water very well and a few coats of watercolor dry with a texture resembling soft feathered markers! An interesting combination…

My favorite exercise paper.

I've been doing watercolors for a little over 2 years. I started with the smaller 9x5" and worked my way up to the 11x14". This will be a long, detailed review based on my experiences over the past two years. If you're new to watercolors, don't buy cheap paper. . You can get by with cheap brushes and cheap paint. However, trust me, you will not enjoy watercolors on cheap paper. If you buy cheap paper, you will be disappointed and not enjoy it. On the other hand, if you buy an Archers notebook…
