Unlike previous versions - arch support removed

Arch support removed . I've been buying a pair of Kayanos every year for the past 6 years for my flat feet and overpronation, one size fits all. Always the perfect fit and great arch support in the past. Not this year. The shank has been removed from the 23 and the fit is tighter at the toe and top of the foot. Due to the tighter fit, I wasn't able to fix this by adding an arch support insert. Asics has been my savior in the past, allowing me to train comfortably. Now I have to start lookingโ€ฆ

Believe the reviews - this shoe has a narrow toe!

My feet are not wide. However, after reading the reviews about the narrow toe box, I bought a half size up to compensate and it still wasn't enough. There were so many full sized that I was afraid of tripping over my own feet. I've worn the Gel-Kayano for many years because it was one of the best overpronation shoes. The Gel-Kayano 22 was the last Kayano I was able to wear comfortably without any issues. Before I bought the 23s I was fed up with the latest, the Gel-Kayano 25s, and they were aโ€ฆ

These ASICS don't even look like Asics. They certainly don't look like Kayanos

These ASICS don't even look like Asics. They certainly don't look like Kayanos, and they definitely don't look like $160 Kayanos. At best, it feels like a low-cushioning, light-support, poorly-constructed $60 running shoe. I have been running Kayanos for many years. I buy them 3-4 times a year. I have never been disappointed and am very disappointed this time. My posture is wrong, my knees hurt, my arch hurts, my forefoot hurts, these shoes are terrible. Don't buy them. These are the worstโ€ฆ
