cute boots: hiking boots

The boots are very comfortable and well made. Most of the negative reviews I've read are related to the delamination of the sole after a while. This cannot be avoided with any molded midsole. Overall great value for money and would recommend to others.

Not a good shoe anymore.

The fit was ok Had these boots before and the sole came off after 4 years but I couldn't find the receipt and asolo did nothing but I liked the boots and bought another pair went on the second day from when I had them. Send the boots back and contact asolo.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish

Wear straight out of the box!

This is my second pair. The first set took almost 16 years to glue the soles back on. Comfortable enough to go hiking straight away. No hack needed. They're heavy but great for sharp rocks and slippery roots in the Maine woods. Excellent ankle protection. Don't worry about water or mud as your feet stay dry. I hope they continue to do so. Worth every penny!

Pros
  • Quality finish
Cons
  • Upgradeable

The latest boots from Afghanistan

After a year of service in Afghanistan, all I received in my inbox was a pair of ASOLO boots. The boots were great, comfortable right from the start and waterproof when it rained (Kabul rains in spring). I'm not sure if these were the last boots shipped out of the country, but they're back in the US now and do just as well in the Smoky Mountains. A really great pair of boots. Pay money, it's worth it.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • So far so good

Great boots but buy at the best price. I seem to have paid too much.

This is my second pair of these boots, they are really excellent. Very comfortable very supportive love these boots and wore like hell my first pair which lasted over ten years before it started falling apart. My only caveat about this recent purchase is that a few days after I paid $315 for Revain boots in a size 9.5, they were listed by another seller for exactly the same boots for $272. I also see that different sizes are sold at different prices, I think because 3rd party providers vary in…

Excellent quality and fit.

I wear them every day to break in. In rain and snow, I opt for a two-day backpack. Yes we here in the mountains of Colorado still experience snow and sleet/grey rain showers over 9000 at night. All my travels this year have been like this! There is no summer this year! Well these boots fit me comfortably right out of the box and have plenty of toe room and a narrow heel for my size 9 foot. The quality of the leather, vibram, stitching and lacing was impressive. I'll post how they fare on this…

Pros
  • Practical matter
Cons
  • The list will be long.

The most fitting and comfortable pair of boots I've ever had.

The most comfortable and comfortable pair of boots I have ever had. I bought these specifically for hiking at the recommendation of two very experienced hikers who have had several full AT adventures. They feel so good and support so well that I wanted to wear them to both work and play. I am strict with work boots and usually change a pair a year. But they wear so well that I've started wearing them for landscaping and lawn maintenance. I can't think of a better answer to how much I like her…

Comfortable boot but with use date

I had 3 pairs of these. The first lasted 6 years with occasional use before the sole came off at the Denver airport when I was finishing my ski trip. I have since bought 2 pairs. NOTE: ALL hiking shoes with a polyurethane midsole will fall off over time. Midsole material has a shelf life and will degrade with age whether you use it or not, much like the rubber in a car tire. I had a pair of German Hanwag hiking boots that I used occasionally, otherwise I kept them in an air conditioned closet…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Bought a pair of these in 2007 and they just gave up and fell apart. I also had extra laces to tie my soles with, but luckily this was at the very end of a not-too-long hike, so I dropped to the exit. Initially I was annoyed and annoyed that you can't just reflash them. I was about to reorder when I read all the reviews saying less than a year later and poor customer support. After looking around a bit, I ordered a pair of Danner Mtn Light IIs that can be rebuilt. THE WORST EVER GOES. They were
