Incredibly quiet, very good cooling

I got this for a Ryzen 3900X build because the factory prism ghost with the background noise was really annoying. I went from 55dB next to my computer case in daily use (just surfing, email chatting) to 42dB! In addition to the reduced background noise, the fan noise is less "shrill", i.e. also under load when the fans are turned up, it is more compatible with other fans in the case, i.e. less disturbing in terms of pitch; and the noise development at full load is also significantly lower. The…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Well, for starters, there is very little EVIDENCE that DEEP COOL Assassin III will work on the 3950X. Since these are a few NEW PRODUCTS, there are very few video reviews worth watching. I'm not good at overclocking, what's the point of shaving a few seconds here or there just because you can? Sooo I compared what I found online and jumped at the CHANCE. This cooler is a BEAST and looks WAY better than the only other air cooler that can match it. Why not use AIO? Well I know one thing about…

Great cooler, works with 120mm fans

Great product. Same performance as my old Thermaltake 360mm ARGB AIO. It is important to know that the 140mm fan is big enough. So if you have a lot of RAM, you need to mount the fan higher above the RAM. But in my case I chose 120mm Thermaltake ARGB and Deepcool RGB fans. To my surprise, the screw holes for these fans are in the exact same locations as the screw holes on the original 140mm fans that came with this cooler, allowing my 120mm fans to be perfectly attached to the heatsink. My…

This does cool down your CPU, but with some problems.

DEEPCOOL Assassin III CPU air cooler works fine. Depending on the load, I get CPU temperatures between 33°C and 60°C. On my Ryzan 7 5800 processor and MSI MEG X570 Unity motherboard. However, fans are an installation problem. You can place a fan in the middle of a large heatsink, but secure it with a wire clip. I was only able to mount a wire brace. Luckily, it seems to be held firmly in the center of the heatsink with just a wire brace. What happened to the screws or something more permanent…
