The best tool for removing/installing studs.

I have used this remover many times over the past twenty years. Great for grabbing broken studs, replacing turbos, exhaust manifolds, etc. One of those tools you only use occasionally, but when you do it's worth every penny. Excellent quality. Removing bolts is an art. These tools are brushes.

Pros
  • regular price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Doesn't work well on threaded studs

Works through roller friction. I bought this to remove stuck threaded bolts from an engine. The pins were really tight. The rollers eventually pinched the tips of the threads, after which they did not slide well. I ended up buying a much cheaper puller bolt puller that did the job. Finally item returned.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Much cheaper than a broken manifold bolt

I am restoring a 75 year old flat head and the manifold bolts won't come loose. I bought this instrument even though it was more expensive than cheap Chinese copies and I'm glad I did. It is well assembled and has successfully pulled all the bolts out. Very satisfied and if you've ever dealt with a broken bolt you know it's a sound investment.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Uncertain

Works as needed. Feels solid. Doesn't slip.

First thing I did was cut off the head of the screw because it had snapped off and unscrewed it all the way with one of those heads. Once he grabbed it, he didn't move and pulled the latch with ease. It wasn't a flash of light. It also worked well for header bobby pins. I wasn't disappointed that I spent the extra money to get a good set.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Slightly Cracked

Great tools! for tool kits

One of those tools I only use a few times a year but when I need them I'm glad I have them. I have only used them to install and remove turbo flanges and exhaust manifold bolts but have been happy with the results each time. I'm impressed with the quality of these pullers and didn't even blink at the cost. Trust me, these tools have paid off many times in my world.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No mold required

If I could give more stars I would put

Great product and I would give it more stars if possible. We had a broken screw that we couldn't remove with a few tools and it finally fixed it! The first one broke but after I emailed the company they were sympathetic and we had a new set two days later. The situation caused a pause. I will still buy it again and think it's a great product!

Removes even the most stubborn studs.

I work with Chevy Vega engines and they have some studs in them and it's not always easy to do a double nut and other tricks to get them out as they can be damn tight like me Make sure that due to the fact that the steel bolts are in the iron block, galvanic corrosion has occurred, due to which the bolts got stuck in the block. This removed all the pins (about 20 at the moment) and reinstalled them without damaging them. I am very impressed.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Assenmacher Bolt Removal/Insertion Special Tool

This worked very well, got all but one out. I used 5/16 and it twisted the end of the bobby pin and the end of the bobby pin broke off. When this happened, the mother was very difficult to remove. I had to use another long twelve point impact socket to unscrew the nut. With the pin bent at the end and the thread chewed up, the tool no longer worked. I had another short extractor attachment that I used to pull out the bobby pin. Upon inspection of the cup, the teeth in the cup are now damaged…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
