🔧 Astro Pneumatic Tool 94222: Versatile 13" 4pc Snap Ring Pliers for Large Internal/External Use Review

My husband hunted three or four stores for a pair of these tools to get a piece of his excavator. He bought a pair from Home Depot. They broke as soon as he started. I bought them and he said it took about a second to take the part off and put it back on. He loves her.

I needed a large set of circlip pliers to replace the bearings in the front hubs on my Honda. After being disappointed with Harbor Freight's Icon Tongs and the failure of another set by Lange, I was glad to get them. Well made and strong. But even though I have big hands, they're so big they reminded me of clown shoes.

I used this kit to remove the locking rings from a Dana 60 rugged. Worked great. Both retaining rings removed after 3 minutes. There is no real problem. Much bigger than I expected but thin enough to fit in the hubs. They appear to be of good quality. They come in a nice case. If I had to do it again I would buy them again.

I was trying to remove the snap ring from a wheel bearing I was planning to replace. I sprayed the retaining ring with penetrating grease and knocked it out with a punch and hammer. When I tried to compress the ring with these pliers for the first time since I bought it, the TIP broke. Had to use a flat head and a hammer to get the job done like a caveman. Nice but useless tools.

I bought these a few months ago expecting to use them to remove a hub on my axle. Today I used pliers for the first time and the tip of the pliers broke off immediately, which I needed a set for. I tried calling support about the 1 year warranty. However, I have been informed by the organization listed under warranty (FlashFurniture) that they did not sell me this tool kit or any tools on Revain. It's just wasted money! DO NOT BUY!

Disappointed as I usually like this brand. I bought this product expecting it to last a while. After the first use the tips are so bent I thought they would break, if I use them again they will. This was just a pair, can't imagine the others being any more solid considering they are built the same way. Bought these pliers for the external snap ring in the 4x4 locking hub on my 2010 Ford F250. I went through the first socket with a smaller pair of Home Depot Universal Circlip Pliers, but wanted the right tool for the second socket, so I went with this set.
