Stable and terrible connection

Terrible Wi-Fi device. Internet is incredibly slow. After plugging in the ethernet cable, I was able to get a full 700MB/s download and a 500MB/s download that my office offers. After this discovery I returned the card. If you want to connect to Wi-Fi, look elsewhere as it's too slow.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Bad experience

B350 Owners - Computers and Accessories

B350 Owners: This is my second PCI-E wireless card. It works fine when the computer is on, but when it's sleeping or shutting down the board doesn't recognize it. I've tried soooo many times updating the driver bios, whatever. I just used an external USB 3.0 WiFi card instead, no more hassles. IN THE MANUAL THIS SPECIFIC MODEL IS FULLY SUPPORTED FOR MY MOTHERBOARD (it doesn't even show up in the BIOS, Asus b350-gaming f), THIS IS AN INCORRECT REGARDING THIS PUBLICATION

6 months and go!

I bought this device in December 2020. Six months later it is still working without any problems. It is currently installed on a Windows 10 Pro machine with an AMD Ryzen 3600 processor and a B450 chipset. Prior to this card I was using a TP-Link AC1200 PCIE card which was giving me nothing but problems. It was a dream in comparison. Highly recommended.***My Rating Criteria***Build quality (36.0%) - 5.0 stars. Efficiency (54.0%) - 5.0 stars. 100.0%) - 5.0 STARS

Completely on Fritz after a month and a half.

I'm not sure what happened but after just a month and a half of using this thing and it's working fine, it suddenly stopped completely. Disconnecting from my router, slowing down to incredibly slow speeds, just a nightmare. Additionally, my windows account is one of those "Outlook/Live" accounts and when there is a problem sometimes I can't even log into my computer to fix it, depending on the card itself to fix it find out life. before I can do anything with the computer. I'm pretty sure I…

Abandoned, switched to ethernet cable to range extender wall pod.

While usage was mostly fine, Zoom (which I need for work) has an odd lag when using this adapter. Other Wi-Fi enabled devices work fine. Other types of connection are suitable. So I bought a Wi-Fi wall extender from my ISP and connected my computer directly to it. In theory, the hardware in this thing should be better than the hardware in this capsule, and yet this solution works and this one doesn't. To be honest everything was fine until Windows updated this summer which forced MANY things…

Make sure you're busy.

The thing works and amazingly connected almost as well as via ethernet. Ease of installation. I never had to do anything with it after plugging it into the PCIE slot. No driver updates, nothing. Update: I've been using this Wi-Fi card for about a year now. Everything was fine until today. I brought my computer to work, but it wouldn't connect to the Wi-Fi network. After trying a few things I gave in and uninstalled the device so it could fetch the drivers again. There was an error. My computer…

If it works it's okay, if it doesn't work I want to rip my ear out.

This hardware is in the shape of a nightmare. It has a known issue with Windows 10 that crashes the device completely and completely, disables it permanently, slows it down to less than 1 megabits per second, causes problems with the default gateway and there seems to be no way at all to fix it remedy . Drivers don't work and this thing is an absolute nightmare to run on Windows 10. Now that it works, it works. ok, the price is ok. The only reason you should buy this is if you never plan on…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works fine at first then driver corruption issue occurs when initial "installation" in " ASUS Wireless PCI-E Adapter" is renamed. " to "Realtek 8812AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC". This change is automatic (windows update trying to help?), and once it does the card is dead in the water. Basically, the motherboard thinks that the card is installed twice, so the I/O and IRQ resources are not fully allocated to the new version of "Realtek". Uninstalling the old version of "ASUS" in the device…
