12/29/19 Received Ryzen 3000 Ready

So I know most people like me are concerned if the board you buy says "Ryzen 3000 Ready" which means that it will work out of the box with any Ryzen Gen 3 processor, and you don't need to buy or borrow a Gen 1.2 processor to update the BIOS. I cannot guarantee that this will be the case for all depending on what is in Amazon's warehouse and which warehouse it comes from. But I can tell you that when I bought mine (12/29/19) when Amazon ran out of stock I got one that had a Ryzen 3000 Ready on…

Broken SATA Ports

Pros: Incredible speed when paired with Ryzen7 2700X. Has all the features I need at a good price. Cons: When using an M.2 SSD, the board disables SATA ports 5 and 6. This is an expected and documented behavior. This becomes a problem when the SATA 3/4 ports suddenly stop working and you are left with only 2 SATA ports. I didn't notice any problems during the initial installation. My configuration consisted of an M.2 SSD as the system drive, a 4TB SATA HDD in SATA 1 for storage, a Blu-ray…

Introducing this MB with Ryzen 5 2600 processor, GAMMAXX 400 tower cooler, Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz, 16GB RAM in a Corsair Carbide 100R mid-tower with 4 fans. Went with a push-pull configuration on the tower cooler with the included RGB fan to push and a Noctua NF-P12 Redux 1700rpm fan to pull. So 6 fans total and I'm still having trouble cooling the VRM. I pretty much have to turn my house's heating down to 65°F if I want my CPU/VRM to stay below 80°C when stress testing for stability…

This is for Budget ROG AM4 People

This motherboard meets my expectations for $95 (when I bought it). I put my 2700x processor on this motherboard and I can overclock BCLK to 103 which converts it to 4.0GHz but for some reason everything crashes and disables my SATA ports (laughs) so I'm staying up with high overclocks your x470. Motherboard (also Asus, but not ROG). I can overclock my RAM to 3400MHz without XMP (because XMP is terrible, IMO). It's more expensive than some or most B450s because it has more overclocking…

BIG BUDGET ROG AM4 Mobo

*****UPDATE*****New BIOS update 0602 Fixed board voltage issues (make sure to update your bios) got my Ryzen 5 2600 (non X) to 4.1GHz with reasonably good temperatures on the Cooler Master MA410P tower heatsink with a Corsair ML120 Pro fan instead of the standard fan overclock an RGB fan with 3200MHz RAM and 2065MHz OS on an Asus Strix OC GTX 1060 6GB. I still have some fiddling to do with my operating system, but everything is pretty stable. I love this motherboard as a great option for a…

Reliable board if it keeps working.

This review was posted on 06/08/2019. I recently put a Ryzen 7 2700x processor on one of these boards for a customer. Installation was easy and straightforward. The BIOS is clean and easy to manage, and it can be updated from the BIOS over the web, which is nice. The performance of this board was very stable when running. However, it died off completely after just a few weeks of use. The client I built it for isn't a renovation guy so I can't believe he made anything other than regular games on

Pros
  • Optimized thermal solution with enhanced VRM and PCH heatsinks, M.2 heatsinks, multiple hybrid fan headers and Fan Xpert fan speed control
Cons
  • Weight

I took a chance and decided to upgrade to Ryzen for the first time and I'm glad I did. I chose the Asus B450-F mainly because of the good reviews, affordability, and the fact that I chose a Ryzen 2700x with 16GB of Corsair memory on board. For those who have either never built a gaming PC or are a bit rusty, don't worry, this is a great motherboard and I've only had a few minor issues in my setup, mostly being new to how AMD works well in the BIOS and a few things it wants when you test POST…
