Great looks and performance B550 mobo priced at

Largely identical to the ROG Strix B550-F specification and $10 cheaper when downloading. Like the white/black look. Works cool. The ARGB header works fine, but the RGB RAM works. I mistakenly thought there was RGB on the chipset logo and heatsink, but that's not the case. Overall happy with the looks and performance for the price. Pros
  • Best gaming connectivity: HDMI 2.1 output (4K@60Hz) and DisplayPort 1.2 support, two M.2 (NVMe SSD) slots - one with PCIe 4.0 x4 connection, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port and Thunderbolt 3 port
Cons
  • Approximately

I'm having problems connecting to the network and the sound card. Neither the ASUS software nor Win 10 recognized the built-in network or sound card. After about 10 emails, online chats and a phone call, Asus said it was a hardware issue and suggested I return it. It was the same with the second. Correction? I first installed a copy of Win 10 2016 from the original CD and it had no drivers to connect to the network. I downloaded a newer version of Win 10 (download from Microsoft, free, the key…

Awesome mobo priced at

Absolutely amazing mobo. Hands down, the best bang for your buck is at Mobo. I didn't want to break the bank and specifically wanted a white and silver board to match my PC theme. This one doesn't support Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, but why pay twice as much when there are alternatives. I have a 5800x with a 3070. I also wanted to get the nvme gen 4.0 that this board offers. Also, it has RGB software and fans which are great features. Has an extra NVME slot for NVME Gen 3.0 if I need to expand in the…

Very easy to get started, nice MOBO

Very easy for the first time. Paired with Ryzen's 5600x, it's amazing. With Corsair 32 gigabytes 4 slots. 8GB on each flash drive. Went to the Asus website, renamed the BIOS Flash Back from the support download, installed it on a USB drive and entered the BIOS Flash Back slot. With the PC off, I held down the BIOS button for 3 seconds and the BIOS updated without issue. I am very happy. Zen 3 performs best when all 4 RAM channels are used. Nice but something is missing

Let me start by saying this board is great. In a white case, the white I/O screen looks great, and the board heatsinks look fantastic. I really like the Gen 4 M.2 slot and number of expansion slots. The BIOS is simple enough to navigate with many features. The B550 chipset does not require a separate heatsink fan, which is also a plus. But is it worth the money? At the time of purchase, this board was $60 more expensive than the all-black board, which has more features. There's no USB 3 on the…
