Mounting template field tolerance wrong

Mounting booby trap: The circular screen printing around all mounting holes clearly indicates the maximum screw head diameter of the board. But the tapered hole in the top left corner of the board (near the top of the I/O shield) is smaller than this maximum diameter. A screw that fits only in the circular screenprint elsewhere on the board is too large for the top left mounting screw location. A screw inserted into this hole will most likely get stuck in the tapered hole and cannot be removed…

No POST but motherboard LED stays blue

I had a separate system with Ripper installed. After swapping parts a few times to test the PSU, GFX, RAM and CPU, I was able to get the lights on the motherboard to be only blue. If I intentionally didn't turn on the CPU, the onboard LED would indicate that the problem was with the CPU by turning red. With the RAM processor and PSU plugged in, the LED is solid blue, but I can't POST, so I couldn't even get an error code. The only hardware that doesn't seem to work is the motherboard. I'm…

Garbage Computers and accessories

The normal retail price for this thing is full of junk. I have a 5+ year old EVGA motherboard better than this one. I couldn't even get the PCIe NVME SSD to work in RAID because the CMOS setup instructions were very complicated and even then I tried to follow them and I think I followed them but it still didn't is working. I tried installing ECC RAM and it didn't work (although it claims to work with it). Then I went through ASUS' absolutely unreasonable standards just to talk to someone. just…

This board is huge.

It's big and heavy but fits perfectly in my Thermaltake Level 10. As for the three 8-pin power connectors, the third one has a different marking for the GPU connector. I hooked one up and haven't tried it with just two, so I don't know if it's needed. Has lots of fan headers but no fan controller so I added a hardware fan controller. The loading time is slow. Switching power to post takes 30 seconds and posting to desktop takes 15 seconds. I had no trouble setting up dual boot with Linux. All…
