No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

I don't know why, but an hour after the start, if there are any downloads, ResilioSync crashes, devouring 700 MB of RAM before that. This is directly related to the disadvantage mentioned above. I did not find any normal DLNA server. So that the web face is sensible, and metadata management is good, and Windows Media Player can see it. I would be grateful if someone in the comments gives a name.

Pros
  • Looks great, 10Gb LAN, extra ports, great interface, lots of apps in the online store (free, of course).
Cons
  • 1GB of RAM is ridiculous, clogged up.

Windows Map Drive copy speed is SLOW

Yes, I know Windows. However, the copy speed when plugging in a drive and using Windows Explorer should not be SLOW. I'll fiddle around a bit and see if I can tweak anything. But if you're looking for a basic NAS device that lets you just drag-and-drop files from Windows-based clients, this is NOT it for now.

Excellent NAS drive

Have been using it for a few months now. Installing drives and initial setup was quick and hassle-free. Passed the first update of all component software with no problems. Can't speak to capacity since you buy (and install) your own drives. I installed 2 x 4TB WD Red drives and configured them as RAID 1. Pros:* Quiet* Very fast (compared to my old MyBookLive)* Accessing the mapped drive from our laptops was easy; very reliable * Works seamlessly with Windows backup/history files. I can't think…

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Actual read speed is 212MB/s and same write speed is about 1.7Gb/s. Although the speed is under the 2.5 Gbps limit, it is still almost twice as fast as the Synology DS416Play. Every single function in ADM is orders of magnitude faster than anything in Synology, even on the demo site. I've been using Synology since 2013 but speed is something I've never liked about their products. Every single app is a click and a wait. I don't even see the point of adding so many apps if they just aren't…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of fashion
